What is Diesel Exhaust Fluid (D.E.F)?
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (D.E.F) is a high purity 32.5% urea solution which serves as a reducing agent for diesel-engine vehicles. Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology combined with D.E.F significantly reduces soot and nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions to meet BS4 & BS6 emission standards.
The VDA (German Automotive Industry Association) owns the AdBlue® brand and manages producers through licenses. The value of the AdBlue® brand lies in the high-quality assurance provided by the producers.
What is NOx?
NOx refers to nitrogen oxides. NOx causes air pollution by contributing to the formation of harmful smog and acid rain. NOx are by-products of diesel combustion normally emitted by the exhaust.

In combination with SCR technology, D.E.F by UBL optimizes soot particles, NOx emissions, and fuel consumption. Within the SCR system, D.E.F is directly injected into the exhaust gas where it serves as a reducing agent. Ammonia is released and reacts with NOx, converting them into nitrogen and water, reducing NOx emissions by 85% and above.
